Recently ICC issued a criminal judgment for genocide against the State of Israel, and ruled it is a breach to continue relations and to cooperate with the State, or otherwise enable the genocide while they are in breach. 

At the General Assembly many Member States walked out in protest of Israels speech.

But the many courageous Member States that honorably walked out in the UN GA last week over the UN’s support of a State with active criminal judgements against them, need to express more than mere hope and dismay.

We need to exit UN or demand the veto power of Security Council is IMMEDIATELY removed, to level the playing field and ensure democracy and rulings are given effect, that rule of law itself is given effect!

The majority of countries are unable to vote as a majority to enforce UN treaties and human rights protections, including to stop mass atrocities because the Security Council can be vetoed arbitrarily by one member! 

What we are asking for is more than possible. The political climate is right to make countries do the right thing and exit or reform UN to remove the veto powers that are allowing ICC judgments to remain unenforceable.

The Member States and the United Nations need to take strong, affirmative action NOW. If there is political will, the veto power will be removed, or countries should determine it is in their own and humanities best interest to mass exit the UN, in solidarity.
